Highway professionals from across the north of England recently met at the Mayrise Systems Street Works User Group to explore and debate the latest issues, trends and developments in the management and coordination of street works. Representing Local Authorities and statutory undertakers the delegates viewed a range of presentations and hands on software demonstrations addressing issues such as Internal Noticing, Fixed Penalty Notices, advanced mapping techniques, mobile working and online hosting. The Mayrise Street Works User Group (Northern) meeting was kindly hosted by Kirklees Council and took place at the end of June; the next meeting is scheduled for December.

This meeting is just one of many user groups Mayrise either run or attend and forms part of an essential network of users around the county who regularly meet to discuss the latest issues in the world of street works. Mayrise also attends a number of other events and will shortly be announcing a series of educational seminars designed to keep users and other interested parties abreast of recent changes in legislation.
