Mayrise Systems has announced a new system to help local authorities deliver better services using the latest web technology. The new version of MAYRISE VueNow enables live service information to be made available instantly to contact centres and web applications using a standard XML interface.
MAYRISE VueNow is an important e-government development as it eliminates the need for complicated software integration and it uses industry-standard XML. As a standard adaptor, it allows simple integration between front office systems such as CRM and MAYRISE back office management systems. Up-to-the-minute information on highways, street lighting, refuse collections and other council services is made instantly available on customer service screens and via web browsers. Service is also enhanced by map coordinate data that allows the locations of assets, faults and other incidents to be pinpointed on mapping systems or corporate GIS.
“Many councils are struggling with e-government implementation because of the difficulties in getting access to vital information held in back office systems. We are championing open systems and the use of XML to ensure everyone can interconnect easily and enable council customer services to get the information they need instantly” says Mark Clarke, Managing Director of Mayrise Systems.
One of the primary uses of MAYRISE VueNow is to provide information to central customer service facilities, either through enquiries via the web, or through telephone call centres. The logging of enquiries or complaints live links to the central system and details on the status of service work are made immediately available through the ‘front office’ system or website.
