Mayrise Systems has launched Mobile MapNow® a mobile computing development that allows local authority engineers and inspectors to view and update maps using PDAs.  Digital maps and asset overlays covering an entire council region can be stored on a high capacity memory cards for use on any compatible device.

The PDA mapping technology is a development of the company’s successful MapNow desktop mapping software that provides instant click-to-view maps.  Now the locations of anything from street lights to signs, street furniture and street works can be viewed with OS MasterMap data in the field.  Features can be plotted and map overlays updated during site inspections, surveys or when onsite for maintenance work.

Mobile MapNow is part of a suite of mobile solutions currently under development by Mayrise Systems. These include simple PDA inspection report applications systems to 3G notebook systems that give real time access to centralised MAYRISE™ management systems.

MapNow and the new mobile component are offered as modules that are fully integrated with the MAYRISE contract management systems; systems that have been designed to help councils improve services in areas such as street lighting, street cleansing, highways maintenance and street works.
