MAYRISE System gives Bournemouth a cleaner image Print E-mail

mr-bournemouth_web.jpgBournemouth Borough Council has implemented an advanced waste management tool from Mayrise Systems to support the provision of commercial waste disposal services to the resort's business community. MAYRISE Waste Management is being used to automate many of the administrative and management tasks required to provide services for about 2,000 businesses in the popular seaside destination, improving the efficiency of the operation, reducing the administrative burden and improving customer satisfaction levels.

Bournemouth Council provides a comprehensive commercial waste service to the town's thriving business community. One of the most prosperous town's in the UK Bournemouth has seen a rapid development in the last twenty years attracting world-class names such as JP Morgan (previously Chase Manhattan Bank), McCarthy & Stone and Liverpool Victoria to compliment the area's already thriving tourism sector.

Bournemouth is special place to live and work with miles of beautiful beaches and acres of public access gardens and open spaces attracting millions of visitors every year. Jane A'Court, Administration and Finance Manager within Technical Services at Bournemouth Borough Council believes that by working closely with the local business community they can help to keep it that way. "The Mayrise system will help us to provide a better service to our clients. Using Mayrise we can improve customer service with instant access to detailed operational records and automate many of the time consuming administrative tasks and reporting."

Bournemouth Council introduced MAYRISE Waste Management to replace an out of date, under performing system. Using unique property reference numbers, extracted from the Council's Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG), to accurately identify and position business premises Mayrise will be used to manage collection rounds, identify and resolve service issues and collate information for the financial management of the service.

"Because Mayrise is a departmental solution, rather than a standalone tool that requires extensive training and specialised knowledge to operate, any member of the team can access information about the service," continued Jane A'Court. "This means we are able to resolve most customer queries at first point of contact, we can also manage the field operation more effectively responding to special requests or service issues and automatically generate customer invoices and management reports."

Mayrise Systems is a leading supplier of e-government integrated systems for managing local authority services including waste management, grounds maintenance, street lighting, street works and highways.  The company also specialises in system integration; serving live service data to contact centres and web applications using a standard XML interface.
